Under Article 38 of Oman's Labour Law, either side must give 30 days' written notice for monthly-paid workers and 15 days for others, unless the contract sets a longer period. During probation, the notice is 7 days.

10 paid hours a week to find a job
During the notice period, the employer must allow you 10 paid hours a week off work to look for a new job (Article 39). Once you find one, tell your employer and keep working until the notice ends.
If notice isn't served
A side that ends the contract without the required notice must pay the other compensation equal to the wage for the notice period, or the part that's left.
